Adjusting Line Settings

Before you begin adding jumps, set the numbering for the line, adjust the spacing between ticks, and choose a Start at value.


Tip: Start at values can be negative.

Working with Jumps

Use the Add Jump button to place a jump on the workspace.

Drag a jump to move and place it on the number line.


Drag the handles to resize a jump.

Drag a handle to the left to create a backward jump.

Click on the ? to enter a value for a jump.

Show or hide automatic jump values.

Working with the Line

Add custom ticks to to the top or bottom of the line.

Hide line numbers, then click each space to show/hide the numbers individually.

Drag the scroll bar to move the number line back and forth.

Working with Covers

Drag covers to move, or drag bottom corners to resize.

Hide or show a cover by tapping the eye icon.

Icon Tool Shortcut Description
start over icon Start Over esc Clear all text, shades and drawings.
line setting icon Line Settings Set the numbering, tick spacing and start value for the line.
add jump icon Add Jump J Place a new jump on the number line.
auto labeling icon Auto Labeling Show or hide automatic jump values.
hide line numbers icon Hide Line Numbers Hide line numbers, then click each space to show/hide the numbers individually.
add custom tick icon Add Custom Tick Add custom ticks to to the top or bottom of the line.
shade icon Cover Tool H Add a resizable cover to hide or show jumps.
math text icon Math Text Tool E Open a keypad for creating expressions and equations.
Tip: Double-tap your text to edit it.
